heidiI'm Heidi. I live in a suburb of Philadelphia and I'm a freelance webdesigner and food enthusiast.

My main passion is food and trying to eat healthy, and I'm fascinated with nutrition and the science behind cooking and baking. I have a weakness for baked goods and anything chocolate, but my sensitive stomach and I don't always agree on things.

I also like to take pictures, and sometimes they aren't food-related.

I spend most of my free time hanging out with my fiancé and puppy, playing on my mac, reading, playing the piano, and watching movies and TV.

This is basically a searchable database of my cooking and baking experiments and ideas. I started it because I have a bad memory and this seemed like an easy way to track my successes and failures.

My favorite recipes are added to the recipe archives where they can easily be printed out.

I originally started this blog to document my whole grain bread baking and my experience with my first starter. I haven't been baking much recently.
